Common Side Effects The following side effects may occur during the course of treatment. Consult your doctor if any of these persist or worsen:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Constipation
- Itching or skin rash
- Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
- Headache
- In rare cases, serious allergic reactions such as facial swelling, difficulty breathing, or severe skin reactions — seek immediate medical attention if these occur
- Signs of liver damage such as yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, or persistent abdominal pain — inform your doctor immediately
Common Interactions Inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently taking. Notable interactions include:
- Alcohol: Concurrent use significantly increases the risk of liver toxicity — strictly avoid alcohol during therapy
- Warfarin & Other Blood Thinners: Long-term use of paracetamol may enhance the anticoagulant effect, increasing the risk of bleeding — regular INR monitoring is recommended
- Enzyme-Inducing Drugs (Phenytoin, Carbamazepine, Rifampicin): May accelerate the metabolism of paracetamol and increase the risk of liver damage
- Other Paracetamol-Containing Products: Concurrent use with any other medicine containing paracetamol may lead to accidental overdose and serious hepatic injury — always check the ingredients of all medications being taken simultaneously
Special Instructions

|---|---|
| Pregnancy | Generally considered safe during pregnancy at recommended doses. Use only as directed by a qualified healthcare professional. |

Mechanism of Action PARAYUV-650 contains Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic agent. It works primarily by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes in the central nervous system, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins — the chemical messengers responsible for triggering pain signals and elevating body temperature. Unlike NSAIDs, Paracetamol has minimal peripheral anti-inflammatory activity, making it gentler on the stomach and suitable for a wide range of patients including children, elderly individuals, and those who cannot tolerate stronger analgesics. Its dual analgesic and antipyretic action makes it one of the most widely used and safest over-the-counter medications globally.
