Mechanism of Action
- Magaldrate (Hydroxymagnesium Aluminate): A balanced antacid that rapidly neutralises excess gastric acid, raising gastric pH and providing prompt relief from heartburn and acid-related pain. Unlike simple antacids, Magaldrate releases aluminium and magnesium ions in a controlled manner, providing sustained buffering action with reduced risk of acid rebound
- Simethicone (Anti-Flatulent): A surface-active agent that reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the GI tract, causing them to coalesce into larger bubbles that can be expelled more easily β relieving bloating, flatulence, and discomfort caused by trapped gas
- Oxetacaine (Topical Local Anaesthetic): Provides localised surface anaesthesia to the oesophageal and gastric mucosa, rapidly numbing painful and irritated mucosal surfaces β offering immediate pain and burning relief in gastritis and oesophagitis that antacids alone cannot address
Together they deliver triple-action relief β acid neutralisation, gas elimination, and mucosal pain relief.
