Common Interactions Inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently taking. Notable interactions include:
- Alcohol & CNS Depressants: Concurrent use may significantly increase drowsiness and dizziness
- Sedatives / Sleeping Pills: Concomitant use may enhance sedative effects
- Other Antihistamines: Combined use may increase the risk of sedation, dry mouth, and other anticholinergic effects
- Enzyme-Inducing Drugs (Rifampicin, Phenytoin, Phenobarbital): May accelerate the metabolism of Montelukast, reducing its therapeutic effectiveness
- Other Anti-allergic Medications: Concurrent use may increase the risk of adverse effects — use only under medical supervision

Mechanism of Action YUVIMONT-LC combines two active ingredients, each working through a distinct mechanism:
- Levocetirizine (5 mg): A potent second-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks peripheral H1 receptors, inhibiting the action of histamine — the chemical messenger responsible for allergic symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, itching, and sneezing. It provides effective symptomatic relief with a low sedation profile
- Montelukast (10 mg): A selective leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the binding of leukotrienes to their receptors in the airways and nasal passages. Leukotrienes are inflammatory mediators that cause airway constriction, mucus secretion, and nasal inflammation. By blocking their action, Montelukast reduces airway inflammation, relieves congestion, and improves overall respiratory function
Instructions to Take

- Preferably take in the evening after a meal to minimise the risk of stomach upset and daytime drowsiness

- Take at the same time each day to maintain consistent drug levels in the body
- Do not self-medicate, adjust the dose, or discontinue therapy without medical advice
